Our nonprofit aims to improve lives.
We believe volunteering can change communities.
The power of kindness is real.
We want to help people with their technology struggles and help them understand how to better use their tablet or smartphone.
We want people who are lonely and isolated to connect with volunteers to provide companionship.
We want those struggling on a fixed income to have assistance from volunteers at no charge.
We want people to be able to get to their healthcare appointments by having convenient and flexible one-on-one transportation with a volunteer.
We allow any town to connect its residents to improve people’s quality of life.
This novel approach allows us to cater to a broader range of needs in every community.
UR Community Cares innovative local model helps family caregivers, older adults, and adults with disabilities using volunteer nonmedical assistance to maintain independence in their own homes.
So many older adults and adults with disabilities need help to attend non-emergency medical appointments and outpatient procedures.
Volunteers provide nonmedical assistance - help around the house, transportation, companionship and friendly visitors, respite, errands, and yard work.
